9 Hours of Swedish Forest to Fall Asleep To

9 hours of forest white noise recorded on location at Siggesta Gård, Värmdö — wind through pine, distant birdsong, and the low hush of a Swedish forest at rest.

Siggesta Gård sits on the edge of Värmdö, a short stretch of water from Stockholm but a different world once you're under the trees. The recording was made in the hour before dusk, when the wind settles and the forest's own sound — needles moving, branches shifting, the occasional bird settling in for the night — is the only thing left.

Why this place

Värmdö's forests are mixed pine and spruce, dense enough to flatten wind into a steady hush rather than a gust. That evenness is what makes it work as sleep sound: no sharp transients, just a wide, breathing wall of green noise.

How to use it

Play it at low volume through the night, or use the first hour as a wind-down while reading. Nine hours means it will run past a full night's sleep without looping.
